To recognise and reward candidate for outstanding performance in the CIA examination, IIA Malaysia introduced the Past President Award in 2001. The Past President Award is awarded to a candidate who completes all four parts of the examination in one sitting and is sponsored by Past Presidents of the Institute.

Corporate Award

The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia introduced two categories of Corporate Awards in 2000 to show appreciation for the continued support given by Corporate Members to our activities. One of the Corporate Awards is to recognise organisation that has demonstrated strong commitment to the Certified Internal Auditor Programme.

Selection Criteria for Corporate Awards

The organisation with the highest number of working Certified Internal Auditors (CIAs) who graduated between November and May and that the organisation:

• Must be a Corporate Member of IIA Malaysia

• Have at least 2 CIAs in the organisation at the point of selection
